The Presidential Debates over, one expected normal service to resume with regards to the trending videos on the web. Three of the videos on the list this week are related to Hurricane Sandy. Surprisingly, only one of those is actually about the super storm. Elsewhere, there is the launch of a live-action trailer for a video game and a Hollywood director’s pick for the presidential election. Let’s look at this week’s top 5 trending videos.

Dancing in Hurricane Sandy

In one of the most bizarre viral videos of the year, a group of men are shown to be dancing as the storm approaches. With the whole nation in a state of panic, it is surprising to see such buoyant spirits. What the intention of the men was behind this video is anyone’s guess. Well, guess they just decided to release the tension and anxiety of the approaching hurricane on video.

Denzel Washington Braves ‘Sandy’ for Letterman

It seems like Denzel Washington wasn’t really acting playing all those brave men on the silver screen. This week, the 57-year old movie star braved the hurricane to make it to a taping of David Letterman’s show. Despite the water causing considerable damage to the state of New York, Denzel showed up to promote his movie ‘Flight’ even though there was no audience to watch the show. Appropriately, he turns up in a yellow slicker, commenting he had swum to the show.

Joss Whedon Backs Mitt Romney to Lead USA into a ‘Zombie Apocalypse’

Joss Whedon, the director of the summer box office smash ‘The Avengers’ released a viral video commenting that Mitt Romney is the right man to lead USA into a ‘zombie apocalypse’. Backed by impressive visuals, including one of Romney made up as a zombie the video is bound to make heads turn. Whedon is a staunch Obama supporter and shows people the funny side of the presidential elections in this video. Controversial, yet very entertaining, a must-watch!

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – Live Action Trailer for a Video Game

Top trending videos

Last week it was Iron Man 3, this time it’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Another trailer starring Robert Downey Jr. is now trending on the web. Wait, isn’t Call of Duty a game? Of course it is. A new part in the game series is ready for release but the makers have opted for the unconventional option of a live action trailer. Directed by Guy Ritchie, the trailer shows Downey and few other YouTube stars engaging in a ‘deathmatch’ using the weapons from the new game. The trailer will surely generate a lot of buzz before the game launches.

Sandy Collides with ConEd

The fifth trending video this week is perhaps the most disturbing of the lot. It shows the hurricane Sandy colliding with a substation of Consolidated Edison (ConEd), a utility company based in New York. The video depicts the collision and the subsequent explosion of ConEd. The explosion caused many people in lower Manhattan to lose power. The video shows the impact and the flash of light that emerges after the explosion. It is going to become one of the iconic images of this great natural disaster.
