iOS Games Gift Holiday Gift Guide

Games are the best time sink you can ever have, and when it comes to the point, iOS games are the best. I may or may not be biased in this regard, but let’s just say that for someone who has always been into time consuming games, iOS games are more irresistible than most. This year, if you are looking for a quick solution for gifts for people who don’t mind playing games on their iOS device(s), take a look at this list. Trust me – you won’t go wrong.

Angry Birds Star Wars

The Angry Birds franchise has met phenomenal success, and if you’ve played the original game to death, the Star Wars edition will add a different dimension to the experience. To be honest, I passed up on this, but if you’re a Star Wars fan, then it is a definite win.

Bad Piggies

Jumping on the success of the avians who have anger management issues, Rovio released Bad Piggies this year, with the hogs as the protagonists. The game is similar to Angry Birds, but it is more complicated and requires a little more thinking and strategizing. Still just as addicting, especially if you like challenge.

Infinity Blade II

With a nice list of awards to its name, the Infinity Blade series is sure to engage you for a long time. Don’t take award givers’ word for it, though. You really ought to “splurge” and spend those several dollars on this game. Slash and hack it may be, but it is a lot of fun!

GTA: Vice City 10th Anniversary Edition

Grand Theft Auto brings back a lot of memories for people of my generation who used to find all sorts of excuses to skip class in order to play. To celebrate the 10th year anniversary of the game, Rockstar Games has released GTA: Vice City on iOS (to be fair, there’s one for Android, too). It might very well be the best $5 you spend on an iOS game this month. Here’s a teaser.

LETZ HD

If you love word games and Bejeweled Blitz, you’ll fall for LETZ HD. I only discovered this game last weekend, and I am already hooked. It combines the excitement of blowing jewels up with the thinking process of forming words. It’s a little on the kiddie side, but it still is a lot of fun. Bejeweled Blitz on some sort of performance-enhancing drug, I think it is.
