It may be tempting to say that we’ve seen it all and done it all, but anyone involved in technology knows that is never the case.  Never mind that we have computers we can talk to, devices that can tell everything about us, and products that do our work for us.  There will always be something new to invent, to think up.  Here is a look at what astounded at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show even if they never make it to the marketplace.

Sony Xperia Z – Best Phone

Best Products at CES 2013

Sony has designed an impressive-looking smartphone with a large 5-inch display to make it even easier to watch videos or conduct a video chat.  The 13 megapixel camera has HDR video capture to record all of your most important moments. What is even more impressive about this device is that it is waterproof and dust resistant so you won’t be afraid to take it everywhere with you even out in the wild.

Razer Edge Gaming Tablet – Best Tablet

The Razer Edge is focused on one thing: gaming. It features integrated controllers with all of the components competitive gamers need. It also runs on Windows 8.

Lenovo IdeaCentre Horizon Table PC – Best Desktop

This PC is more than a desktop; it’s a table. That is the focus behind the design in the computer that can be laid flat like a table and allow multiple people to play games on it. This gigantic touchscreen was impressive and designed for interpersonal computing, according to Lenovo.

Samsung UN85S9 – Best HDTV

Numerous televisions were on hand to compete for attention, but one that stood out was the Samsung UN85S9. This ultra high-definition TV features a large frame that was super-thin. It features voice command, gestures, as well as a built-in camera. The display is as amazing as you would expect, but you can expect a price to go along with it. This TV is due for release in May.

There were a lot of amazing products on display even with the absence of Microsoft and few tablets on display.  It will be interesting to see which of these devices make it to market.
